The Ballroom Dance Health & Happiness Program brings the benefits of dance directly to your staff, and aims to facilitate a positive and interactive activity amongst your workplace, to improve a team’s mental and physical wellbeing.

Using a mixture of dance forms – both ballroom and latin dancing – we aim to help staff overcome the difficulties and stresses that have been brought to light during the COVID-19 pandemic and the new age of working-from-home environments.

Our Program asks your staff to step away from their keyboards and connect with their colleagues and your dance lead, Jonathan, via Zoom. Our sessions are designed to be interactive – that means screens and microphones are to be turned on at all times – as colleagues learn, struggle and succeed together over the video call. The sessions are designed to be danced solo, in front of your staff member’s webcam. It doesn’t require a partner, dance shoes, or much space, just a willingness to try something new.

We want your team to walk away from each session healthier, happier, rejuvenated, positive and more resilient than before. During this unprecedented time of COVID-19, investing in the health and happiness of your staff when it is most necessary can keep people feeling valued and more motivated to work productively.

  • Ballroom Dance Health & Happiness Session

    Over the space of a 40-minute session, Jonathan will have your colleagues collaborating and supporting one another to achieve success in a dance of your choice. We recommend introducing first-time dancers to an up-beat dance such as cha-cha, but are happy to take dance requests.

    During this session, participants will:

    • Successfully learn one dance routine

    • Familiarise themselves with basic dance principles

    • Achieve coordination of body movement

    • Learn to count music

    • Understand the basic biomechanics of dance

    • Have the opportunities to ask questions to a dance expert.

  • Ballroom Dance Health & Happiness Program

    The Program is conducted as 10 x 40-minute dance sessions, spread across 10 weeks. Your team will build trust, camaraderie and dance skills, while promoting activity in the workplace, and a happy and healthy lifestyle. From a longer course you can expect participants to fully immerse themselves in the experience, allowing them to commit to a high level of learning. With a regular weekly time in place, your team will have something to look forward to each and every week. With more time at hand, there is also less pressure to perfect the dance and a greater opportunity for development and enjoyment.

    During this program, participants will:

    • Successfully learn two advanced dance routines

    • Understand basic dance principles

    • Achieve coordination of body movement

    • Learn to count music and identify different rhythms

    • Understand the basic biomechanics of dance

    • Successfully perform in smaller groups to the larger online team

    • Safely learn how to warm up and cool down

    • Have the opportunities to ask questions to a dance expert.
